Lyon Pride is the largest LBGT festival in the city which takes place every year in June. The LGBT march is well-attended by celebrities and political figures and attracts thousands of visitors from across France and beyond.

2019’s proceedings were attended by 700,000 spectators. In the week leading up to the main parade, a series of LGBT+ events took place in Le Marais, the city’s gay district. The celebrations usually conclude with a huge free party in Place de la République.
