    Hotel Description

Experience the old-world charm of Kalaw Heritage Hotel, a landmark hotel at the former hill station Kalaw, built during the British colonial era in 1903 hence the second oldest hotel in Myanmar after the glorious “The Strand Hotel Yangon” built in 1901. Forty-five colonial style furbished rooms including four suites, ranging in size from 26 to 40 square meters assigned to our three heritage buildings named Tudor, Acorn and Pine. Kalaw is situated 70 km west of Taunggyi; the capital of Shan state and about 50 km from Pindaya caves. Kalaw sits high on the western edge of the Shan Plateau and was a popular hill station during the British times. It is still a peaceful and quiet place with an atmosphere remnant of colonial era, located in 1320 m above sea level with a pleasantly cool weather and is a good place for hiking through pines and bamboo groves and beautiful mountains scenery.
