Hotel Description

Permanently CLOSED.

This exclusively gay, clothing-optional hotel features a pool with sun loungers, jacuzzi, restaurant & bar. After dark, Spartacvs is illuminated by a maze of fairy lights placed strategically in the trees around the pool area.

All guest rooms are en suite (some with open-air showers) and feature a queen-sized bed, air conditioning, satellite TV, safe, minibar and free WiFi.

We like the efforts Spartacvs take to ensure security. You're allowed to bring a friend back to the hotel, but their ID is required to enter the property. A 24-hour reception and CCTV adds to the security.

First Time Bali Experience and Spartacvs Virgin

I had never visited Bali or an exclusively gay resort/oasis previously. I found the service at Spartacvs to be exceptional, airport pickup with complimentary welcome drinks and refreshing towel plus another complimentary drink on arrival at the hotel. Check in was friendly and efficient, for my first experience, it was like walking into an oasis [Balinese style]. Room was clean and very comfortable and had the outdoor shower ensuite was good. Staff were very friendly and happy to assist with all requests. Owner Craig introduced himself the following day after my arrival which was very courteous. The room price included a full cooked breakfast daily and return airport transfer... Really a wonderful experience and also met several other guests [Grant, Paul and Steve] who were regulars and also very friendly and welcoming.

A Heavenly Oasis in Seminyak

This year a friend of my turned the big 40. So I suggested that I take him to Bali and we stay at Spartacvs Bali Hotel, we was a little reluctant . But the tickets where booked and paid for so off we went. After passing though immigration it was a short walk to our FREE airport transfer car that had a wonderful driver and cold drinks (including water) waiting for us.. After a short drive to the hotel I instantly noticed the wonderful transformation that had occurred since my last stay a few years ago, it looked fresher and cleaner and more maintained that it had before. But one thing had not changed and that was the amazing friendly and professional (english speaking) staff, most where still there and they remembered my name. After the pleasantry's and paper work it was off to our separate rooms.and our complimentary drinks. Then is out for a spot of shopping and to place my order for some tailor made clothes. A Blue Bird taxi (the only taxi company to take and reception will call one for you) will cost you $4.00 to $5.00 each way to Seminyak or Kuta . Then it was back to Spartacvs and happy hour (2 hours) and a dip in the new pool. Sitting down having our drinks people would come up and intruder themselves and have a chat. So within half an hour there was a group of strangers from all over the world all sitting around talking and laughing as if we had known each other for a long time. Then out to dinner and then off to bed.The next morning my friend and I went for breakfast and where met by more friendly staff and guests and conversations started, I commented on the impressive changes I had noticed since my last stay to one of the guests (who later turns out to be Rick one of the owners). There is something on the new breakfast menu for everyone (Indo, English or American) Spartacvs is in a great location close to the beach, the hub of Seminyak or Kuta and within walking distance of some amazing restaurants. After a few days of doing holiday tourist things we decided to stay in for the day. So sun baking and swimming where on the cards, by this time my friend was going clothing optional. By mid afternoon and some great burgers and a few beers for lunch we decided to play chess, in no time at all there were people stopping by and a little competition was up and running (you don't need computers or smart phones to have a great time). 5 hours later we all went our separate ways. Some people ate in (the daily specials do change daily and are well worth looking at) and some eat out but most of us ended or day having a few drinks around the pool with the other proprietors Craig and Mark. 8 days after landing at the new Bali Airport (Ngurah Rai) Denpasar and having awesome holiday/ birthday present and meeting some wonderful people. It was back in our complementary car to the airport and then to Perth. Upon arrival you are quickly reminded you are not in Bali anymore. Customs and immigration is VERY slow and under staffed (not happy Jan) In concluding I would LOVE to thank Craig, Mark, Rick and ALL you amazing staff. Clint and I will be back very soon. And I SF1 next time. All I can say if thank you so much from the heart of my bottom. And I don't have any tan lines We will be back
