Adventure through one of Europe’s most geographically rich countries on this gay Israel group trip. Observe thousands of years of history and explore the region’s most cultural sights by hiking, canyoning, caving, and kayaking.
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport to be welcomed by your Israeli hosts, who will be taking care of you for the following days. From here you will receive a private transfer to a Tel Aviv hotel, where you’ll be given an orientation talk. Tonight you can enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
Begin your day with a relaxing cycle around Tel Aviv, passing by the Seraya Building. Make your way towards Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv’s first neighbourhood outside of Jaffa. Take in the unique architecture before arriving at Rothschild Boulevard, home to over 5000 Bauhaus buildings. For lunch we’ll be joining a Mediterranean cooking class. In the afternoon you can look forward to a tour of the Florentine neighbourhood, before spending the night in Tel Aviv.
Spend a leisurely morning exploring the Camel Market, after which there will be a tour of the German colony of Sarona and entertainment district in Tel Aviv. This afternoon you will participate in a surfing class, followed by leisure time at one of Tel Aviv’s hottest beaches. Get ready to party the night away, as we’ll be bar hopping around the Rothschild Boulevard area, home to some of the city’s best gay nightlife.
This morning will be spent driving to Caesarea, an enchanting Roman city. Next, we will go on to Mei Kedem, a water tunnel in Alona Park; here you can enjoy a spot of snorkelling in the clear waters. After getting sufficiently wet, we’ll move on to Haifa, followed by the site of Akko. Walk along the ancient city walls, through the Templar tunnel, and explore the colourful local market.
Driving easterly to the Western Galilee, prepare yourself for a hike near the Rainbow Cave Arch, one of the most beautiful views in the country. Today the group will kayak in the famous Jordan River, before enjoying a cycle tour through the Hula Valley. Tonight we’ll bear witness to a Krav Maga lesson.
Enjoy a tasty breakfast before a big hike along the Zavitan River, situated in the stunning Golan Heights. Providing the conditions are good enough, we will canyon into the volcanic stone, and enjoy a swim in the scenic surroundings. Tonight we’ll be sampling wine in Golan Heights itself.
Today’s destination is the capital of Galilee, Tiberias. Along the way we’ll stop at the excavations of Beit Shean, known for being blessed with holy water. From here we’ll continue through the Jordan Valley, where a sunset camel ride awaits us. Tonight we will dine on traditional dishes, including: vegetables, rice, kebabs, stuffed chicken, and salad. The night will be spent in authentic Bedouin tent-cabins, offering a tranquil night’s sleep.
An early start is necessary today as we’ll be completing a dawn hike up to Masada, an ancient fortress which we will then tour. Next, you can look forward to another hike in the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve. Here, you will see a variety of native wildlife, including: foxes, wolves, hyenas, and spotted leopards. Our last destination of the day is The Dead Sea. After a busy day you’ll arrive at the hotel where you can enjoy its onsite spa facilities and treatments.
Another scenic hike is on the agenda this morning, this time travelling along the Darga River. Later, we will pass through the Judean desert in a tomcar. This evening will be spent driving to Jerusalem, with a scenic stop along the way.
Jerusalem is our main destination for today, where you will receive a tour of the Old City. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Friday dinner hosted by a local family.
Spend the morning exploring Tel Aviv at your leisure before being transferred to Ben Gurion Airport.
