Your gay group trip to Italy begins as you arrive in Bari, where a transfer awaits you. From here you will be taken to Villa Cappelli, not far from the Adriatic Sea. This afternoon you’ll enjoy a light lunch before exploring the immediate grounds. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner as a group, where you’ll sample locally-made olive oil and regional wines.
Today begins with a visit to the Mugria National Park; here, you will witness mozzarella being made, and enjoy a sample of the product itself. During this visit you’ll select a variety of cheeses, which will be had for lunch throughout the week. Next, we will visit Ruvo di Puglia and the Jatta Museum. Once again we’ll enjoy lunch as a group at the villa, where you’ll have the choice of partaking in meal prep or lounging by the pool. After lunch you’ll have the chance to explore Puglia, before joining the group for a delicious dinner at Terlizzi.
This morning, try your hand at fresh pasta-making in the villa’s kitchen. Then we’ll visit Castel del Monte, a 13th-century castle known for its myths and legends, including the Holy Grail. After touring the castle, you’ll return to the villa for a light lunch. This afternoon will be spent largely at your leisure, taking advantage of the stunning villa grounds. Later on, an olive oil expert will visit the villa to deliver a course in olive oil production; here, you will have the chance to sample some local produce. Tonight you’ll dine on the fresh pasta you made this morning.
Look forward to getting some sun and sea, as we prepare to visit the seaside town of Trani. Home to a giant cathedral and beautiful port, there’s plenty to explore here. Visit the site of the Battle of Canae before going to Antichi Sapori, where we’ll enjoy a unique lunch in a remote restaurant, known for its multi-award winning chef. After enjoying a leisurely lunch as a group we will return to the villa for some downtime. Tonight you can expect a light dinner.
Our day begins with an exploration of the mountainous region, Murgia. From here, we will continue to Matera, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take in the quaint cobbled streets, rock formations that house restaurants, and authentic Italian atmosphere. Visit one of Matera’s many eateries for lunch, before returning to the villa for the afternoon. This evening, get a taste of what it’s like to be an expert pizza chef, as you’ll be making one using the villa’s ancient wood-burning pizza oven.
Today’s destination is Alberobello, a small town famous for its stone buildings, or trulli. Enjoy a tour of the town before moving onto Polignano a Mare, a picturesque seaside town. Here, we will have lunch at Grotta Palazzese, a restaurant built into caves and home to some of the best views in the town.
An early start is on the agenda today, as we’ll be visiting the Adriatic port of Bisceglie. Explore the local fish market, full of fresh seafood, and pick what you want for dinner. Take a wander around this quaint fishing village before returning to the villa for a sommelier-hosted wine tasting. This afternoon we will visit a ceramics centre, which houses kilns dating back to 1AD. Tonight, celebrate your amazing gay group drip with a farewell dinner of seafood at the villa.
Say goodbye to your fellow LGBTQIA+ travellers, beautiful Italian villa, and hosts as you prepare to leave. From the villa you’ll be transferred to Bari airport in time for your return flights home.
