Explore one of the most sparsely populated countries in the continent on this Africa gay group trip. Hike through Namibia’s stunning scenery, bike through extraordinary terrains, sleep under the stars, and get up close and personal with native wildlife on this Namibia adventure.
Your Namibia adventure begins upon arrival, as you’ll be transferred from the airport to our cosy lodge outside the city. Should you arrive early enough, there will be opportunity for a game drive before dinner. Once you’ve unpacked, join the rest of the group for an evening welcome dinner.
Today begins with an early morning game drive, where you may be lucky enough to spot a cheetah or leopard. Arriving in the early afternoon, you’ll have a chance to stretch your legs before hiking to our first camp. Here, trained local guides will give you a lesson in wildlife-spotting. Tonight we dine as a group under the Namibian sky.
This morning we will take a 4-hour hike through the bush, before taking a long break in the shade and enjoying some lunch. This region is known for being home to ostriches, springboks, and gemsbok. After lunch we’ll continue for 2 hours onward to our next camp. Look out for native animals such as the bat-eared fox and aardwolf as you sleep under the stars.
This morning’s three hour hike concludes at the lodge, where a delicious lunch is awaiting us. Later, you’ll be transferred to our luxurious accommodation in the oldest desert in the world, the Namib. Namib Nakuluft National Park encompasses this famous desert full of huge dunes and flat valley floors.
Wake up with a sunrise bike ride across some of the highest dunes in the world, after which our experienced guide will take you for a walk and teach you how to walk on sand dunes efficiently. From here we’ll visit Big Mama, a gigantic sand dune overlooking the Sossuvlei clay pan. Next, a 4×4 shuttle will take us back to our tour vehicle in time for a tasty lodge-hosted lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing, or join us for an optional small aeroplane tour to the Atlantic Ocean.
Hike or cycle through the famous Kuiseb Canyon before we continue on to Swakopmund. This German colonial town is situated on the Atlantic Ocean and is known for its rich cultural history.
After a busy few days of sightseeing and hiking, you can enjoy today at your leisure. If you’re feeling restless, there are plenty of optional excursions to choose from, including a day trip into the desert with quad bikes. Make arrangements with our guide, or simply relax at the lodge.
Today’s destination is Spitzkoppe, a granite mountain formation, home to the ancient rock paintings of the Khoisan. To reach Spitzkoppe we will cycle and hike, after which our welcoming wilderness lodge will be awaiting us.
Today we’ll be visiting a natural marvel, the Etosha Pan, comprised of cracked earth. The savanna surrounding Etosha Pan is home to huge herds of mammals and wildlife. After yet another busy day, we’ll check into our luxury lodge and enjoy a game drive.
Our last safari will take place today, with a morning game drive to see animals including: lions, giraffes, black rhinos, springboks, gemboks, kudu and antelopes. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your leisure before a cosy group dinner.
A long drive is ahead of us today, as we’ll be returning to Windhoek. On the way to our destination we’ll pause for a bicycle tour, after which we’ll finish the journey to our downtown hotel. Tonight there will be a farewell dinner to celebrate the end of your Namibia adventure.
Depending on the time of your flight, you could enjoy an optional midday trip to Katutura Township. After you’ve said your goodbyes, we’ll transfer you to the airport in time for your return trip.
