Day 1: Arrival
Whether you're arriving at Brindisi airport or Lecce train station, you will be collected and taken to the group's private villa. Settle in and unpack your belongings before joining your hosts for a welcome aperitif dinner.

Day 2: Porto Cesareo
Enjoy a fresh breakfast at the villa, before taking part in a hands-on cooking lesson hosted by a local chef. This lesson will teach you how to cook typical Salento dishes using local ingredients. After your hard work in the kitchen, you'll enjoy the fruits of your labour for lunch. This after0on we will visit the beautiful town of Porto Cesareo, famed for its sandy beaches. Feel free to get your swimwear out and go for a dip in the clear waters, or explore the town at your leisure. Dinner will consist of freshly-caught fish and seafood, after which you can look forward to a couple of digestifs or a gelato.

Day 3: Santa Maria di Leuca
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, before departing for the southeastern-most point of Puglia, Santa Maria di Leuca. After exploring the city sufficiently, we will make our way to the port and board a private boat. Aboard the ship a light lunch and aperitif will be served. Spend the remainder of the after0on in style, sunbathing, swimming, and resting. After our boat excursion we will return to the villa for some free time before dinner. Once again your hosts will prepare a delicious dinner of local recipes.

Day 4: Otranto
This morning we'll be visiting one of the local farmers' markets, alongside your hosts and a local chef, you'll select local ingredients to bring back to the villa. Back in the kitchen you'll learn yet more regional cooking tips with a local "Mamma". You'll also learn how to make fresh orecchiette, a typical pasta of the region. This after0on we will visit Otranto, a coastal port rich in history and culture. Explore the sandy beaches and unique architecture at your leisure before meeting up with the group for dinner. Tonight we dine at a local pizzeria.

Day 5: Nardo and Lecce
This morning's destination is a famous winery in Nardo, where you'll have a chance to taste wines unique to the Salento region. From here we will travel to the nearby seaside towns of Santa Caterina and Santa Maria al Bag0. Enjoy lunch by the sea and some quality time on the beach. This after0on we will venture to Lecce, where you can expect a guided walk before exploring the city as you wish. Tonight we will dine in the historic centre, enjoying local produce and typical dishes. End the evening with a few drinks in some of Lecce's best gay-friendly bars.

Day 6: Olive Oil Experience, Gallipoli and Farewell Party
This morning you will be touring a typical frantoio, a farm k0wn for its production of organic extra virgin olive oil. After hearing about the history of olive oil production, you'll have a chance to sample some of the produce. Next, we will explore Gallipoli, a port town famous for its fishing boats and fresh seafood. Spend the after0on relaxing at the villa before celebrating your final night in Italy. Tonight locals will join us for a delicious barbecue and farewell party, after which you'll have the chance to return to Gallipoli to experience some of the gay nightlife.

Day 7: Departure
Today our Salento food and wine tour comes to an end. Bid farewell to beautiful Puglia and your fellow gay travelers before being transported to Brindisi airport or Lecce train station.

Further Information

You’ll be sailing in style on the Lord of the Glens, a splendid Scottish cruise ship. It’s an elegant seafaring yacht that can sail through the Caledonian Canal but also sail the Atlantic. This will be an all LGBT trip of no more than 54 guests. Expect a Scottish breakfast every morning and nightly entertainment.
