Discover Slovenia on this gay group trip. You’ll be venturing into Triglav National Park, trekking the Julian Alps, zip lining Soca Valley and sailing Soca River.
This action-packed tour is a great introduction to one of Europe’s hidden gems.
When you arrive at the airport you’ll be transferred to your hotel. In the evening there’ll be a welcome meal where you’ll meet your fellow travellers.
Today we’ll be kayaking in Triglav National Park. After an instructor has shown us the ropes it’ll be time to sail Lake Bohinj.
Later, we’ll visit Radovlijca’s Apicultural Museum and also discover a very Slovenian tradition: bee farming at the Beekeeping Museum.
Don’t forget to pack your walking shoes. Today we’ll be hiking along the Julian Alps where you’ll see wonderful views of Mount Spik.
We’ll trek along the Martuljek Gorge and have a panoramic drink at the Lipovčeva Hut. Evening at leisure.
We’ll be trekking along the mountain pass of Vršič – this will be an easier walk. If you’d like to take the more strenuous route we can arrange that for you.
Prepare to get wet this morning. We’ll be kayaking along Soča River. Later, we’ll be zip lining over the Soča Valley. This will be quite an action-packed day.
In the evening we’ll have some well earned down time wining and dining at one of the world’s top 50 restaurants, Hisa Franko.
After all the trekking and kayaking it’ll be time to explore some wineries. We’ll go from village to village in Slovenia’s “Tuscany” region. Drink some of the finest wines while learning about the counties’ troubled history.
On the way we’ll see defences left over from WW1.
On our last full day in Slovenia we’ll be exploring the town of Ljubljana. Try the popular Turkish coffee, take a stroll through Tivoli Park and maybe sample some Slovenian wines.
