I spent the 2019 holidays at Aquarius and it was great. I don't understand the comments about the staff never smiling because they are always great to me. This was a first for me bout not being home for the holidays and the staff made me feel like I was with friends and family. One of the main reasons I keep coming back is because of the great staff!! My room is always cleaned, the breakfast is always great. I tried a the rice soup and it is simply amazing. To the ones picking the place apart if you are looking for perfection then maybe you should stay home. People respond to how they are treated so maybe if you are getting unsmiling staff it's because of you lack of a smile. I am already planning my holiday for 2021 back here!!

I love staying here. My room is always clean, everything in the sauna always works. The staff are super friendly and we have a great time chatting and joking. Great drinks at the bar and the pretty is pretty good also. I have always been in the off season and the number of men in the sauna varies from a decent crowd to me enjoying the steam room by myself. I have already made my plans and reserved my room for December. I am really excited about going in peak season and seeing the staff again. Paul and his staff always make me feel very welcomed which is the main reason I travel from 10,000 miles to come back to what I call "My Thailand home". As for the smell in the sauna its a blend of essential oils and to me they smell great and I always forget to ask what they use. So go stay a night and see for yourself why this American loves it so much. And the breakfast is one of the best I have ever had at a hotel !!

Unfortunately, this is the worst sauna I have ever been to in Thailand. I went there twice and it was empty because, I think, it is old, ugly and it needs renovation immediately. People working there never smile, they even avoid eye contact, which is odd for Thailand. Sorry but never again!

I spent 10 days at Aquarius last year and just came back from a 12 day stay there last week. Since I was there in low season (rainy) the sauna was hit or miss on being busy. BUT you can not blame that on anything. Everything always worked when I was there and I LOVE the steam room. As for the staff, they were great. Very helpful on things to do and where to go. ALWAYS very friends even if there was a language barrier. I am a very critical person when it comes to service and hotels/guesthouses, and although a little dated in some ways, I would 100% recommend Aquarius to anyone. I am already planning my next trip to Patong Beach and looking forward to seeing all the great staff there again. Never any issues or problems.

We are in Patong 10 days and the second day of rain we goes to this strange sauna. The sauna wasn't working, the steam room had a smell bad, the showers are cold and we tried the jacuzzi on the top: really a must..the water was green (and really I'm honest..green was the water color). We like much saunas and during our travel we take often a sauna, but I never find a so bad gay sauna.

Personnel désagréable, chambre infâme, horrible Pour accéder à notre chambre nous devions sortir de l'accueil traverser des échoppes dont les vendeurs nous accoster a chaque passage, ensuite accéder à un couloir sordide pour aller dans notre chambre. La chambre, comment peut on appeler ça une chambre d’hôtel, petite aucune place, petite terrasse crasseuse pleine de câbles électrique qui traîne, de la moisissure sur les murs extérieur, tas de crasse sur les rails des portes fenêtres coulissantes. Vue sur des façades vieillottes et pas entretenues. La salle de bain petite, moisissures sur les joints du carrelage de la douche, porte vêtements qui ne sert à rien car tous cassées, lunettes des wc détériorés, rideaux de douche moisis, des serviettes de toilettes collées entre elles, le tapis de bain n est qu une vieille serviette de toilette coupée en deux. J'ai retrouver une espèce de ver sur le lit, prise électrique dangereuse ( voire photos ), le premier matin je me suis réveillé avec des boutons sur un bras et sur le torse..... Petit déjeuner qui laisse a désiré, 3 tranches de pains de mie et une mini salade de fruits et un café, qui nous est servie par un serveur aussi aimable qu'une porte de prison, pendant la prise de ce petit déjeuner nous avons vue un rat et des cafards qui passer devant l hôtel. En tant que client nous devions pouvoir bénéficier de la piscine sauna et jacuzzi gratuitement et au moment ou nous avons voulu aller à la piscine on nous a demander 240 bath par personne, alors que c était inclue dans le prix de la chambre, mais je ne regrette pas de ne pas avoir mis les pieds dans cette piscine crasseuse dont le carrelage a la base de couleur bleu étaient devenues jaune/marron. Comment cet hôtel pour avoir le certificat d'excellence Tripadvisor ? Nous sommes restés que 2 nuits au lieu de 7, car nous avons recherché un autre hôtel que nous avons trouvé pour mois chère et avec des prestations de services haut de gamme.(même si nous avons pris une chambre pas chère, il y a un minimum d’hygiène et de salubrité a offrir aux clients) Pour accéder à l’hôtel on doit passer par une ruelle qui ressemble plus a un lieu de débauche qu autre chose, tout le temps accoster. Lorsque nous avons rendue les clefs en leur expliquant nos raisons de notre départ, le réceptionniste nous a regarder avec mépris.

It's actually adorable how bad this sauna is. It's just a really old, really rundown place in the most innocent way possible. It's tiny and for the most part completely dark. There were 2-3 older gentlemen, happily chatting away in the darkroom. I didn't fear for my health or safety there, but I also didn't stay longer than 20 minutes, as there was literally nothing to do. There's a sun terrace with a jacuzzi that I wouldn't dare going into. It's probably nice to chill out on the terrace when it's sunny (I went during sunset). I think the clientele is mostly older gentlemen who also stay at the guesthouse. Not my crowd, but others might like it. The cabins were all clean, as they were pretty much unused.

Perfect Hotel. Room was newly renovated and clean. It was cleaned daily. Staff friendly and helpful. Bar and massage service Top.

i visited the sauna in early December. The facility is a bit rundown. After staying there for 20mins, the entire block went into darkness due to power outage. They offered to let me and my friend to come back the next day for free. I came around 7pm to 8pm but i saw only about 4 other guys so i didn't want to come back the next day.

I visited the Aquarius Sauna today. Yes, it is not very modern but all what gay men want to meet for a quickie is there. But I also took a massage and this was absolutely great. Eod is a wonderful, lovely nice looking and friendly masseur. The room was very clean. The massage was exactly 1 hour and Eod did a perfect work ;-) I will come again!
