Brilliant

I was taken to Don’t Tell Mamas’ last Thursday by a friend. I have been off the scene for quite some time so was a little apprehensive about Wicked Thursday and whether I would fit in. I shouldn’t have worried. From the moment the door was opened and I was welcomed by Serge I knew this was going to be a good evening. The club is small and intimate but this is it’s USP. It’s a great place to chat and make new friends. Body shape wasn’t an issue either, all types just happy to be naked together in a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be going again and heartedly recommend this diamond of a club to all.

unfortunately over 25s only.

I tried to visit Don’t Tell Mama with my boyfriend last weekend for a chilled friendly night out to meet people and have a good time. We decided to give it a go as many friends have recommended it. Unfortunately, upon showing my ID at entrance as I am under 25 I was met with a quite rude sassy attitude, refusing admission due to my age. Fair play if you want to keep certain standards but It’s by far not the most friendly place in Brighton as advertised.

DTM fabulous

Heard about this place through a friend. Gave it a go, a bit unsure at first but less than three in the venue and all is well, happy pleasant people warm welcome from Serge the owner. Have only managed to get there a few times over the past year but each time friendly people , inclusive and extremely welcoming , no issue with being tall short fat thin, etc etc all equal.

Best Gay Bar ever

I have visited this gay bar twice once on a Friday night and again on a Thursday night. On both occasions the host Serge as been excellent and also the customers very friendly and social - it is quite simply the best gay bar ever. You arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend and knowing you had a good night with plenty of chat and knowing you welcome here any time.

A breath of fresh air!

We first visited dtm around 6 weeks ago and have been most weeks since then. We welcome the walk from the other bars knowing a friendly welcome will be waiting along with branded drinks at reasonable prices. Have probably got to know more guys there than in the years we have visited other venues in the city. Serge is a fantastic host who encourages conversation between all the visitors. Facilities are spotless.

Great Little Club Bar

This is a great little club bar in the heart of Kemptown, away from the other bars and clubs. We went on a Wednesday night, which is sportswear night. All of the customers in the bar had made the effort to dress up, and that made the atmosphere very convivial. It isn't a seedy atmosphere, but very friendly and all the guys are there for the same reason. To enjoy themselves. Great addition to the 'scene' in Brighton

Sportswear

I decided to check out this bijou and charming bar and feel compelled to state what a wonderful night the sportswear event turned out to be. The dress code is part of the fun and Serge alongside his patronage were convivial and the ambience enchanting.

The Original GAY bar!

Not sure what the previous guy is on about obviously yet another internet troll so many in Brighton these days! Serge & Jason launched this bar just about 6 months ago now and I have been a regular since. Looking for new mates? Looking for a friendly, no attitude, no loud music, cosy and stylish den , look no further! D.T.M. is the Gay Bar of the late 70's, the original gay bar, friendly welcome, social, very social, if you don' t like making new mates and talking to friendly guys then I agree with the internet troll, don't bother! But if you do then D.T.M. is the ONLY place in Brighton where you will be able to. Great little bar, cosy lounge, unpretentious dance floor, cruising area and small dark room. Thanks Guys for this great addition to Brighton dying and bitter Gay scene!

Thank you!

My name is Serge , I own and run D.T.M. I am extremely grateful for your review. It is hard in 2016 to run a Gay Bar or Club certainly in this world of mobile phone which has made the scene SO anti social. I believe that there is still room for a Men Only bar/club without being a sex club which seems to be what people expected in Brighton. First and foremost Don't Tell Mama is a social club. A friendly den to meet your mates and make new ones without the need of a mobile phone. D.T.M. was launched in March 2016 and now counts over 600 Members. Its a friendly, stylish and cosy and intimate place where you will be made welcome! A bienôt and thank you for your support. Serge

Don't do the walk

Way out of the gay village. Very small bar with a new found clique that sit around the bar listening to the bar man tell his woes of hard life. Down stairs a lot of empty space a 2m x 2m square room with a curtain?? Not sure lol. No one in apart from his clique. Vey clean to the clinical state. I wouldn't bother again.
