Prinzknect is THE FUN PLACE

OMG what a fun and friendly place to hang with the bros and enjoy a good German beer. We had afternoon cocktails here everyday of our week long stay in Berlin. The bar staff are wonderful and fun. Look for Michele, Owe and Vladimir....they are the BEST. Its a great mixed crowd with no dedication to any fetish but all are welcome. This place will not disappoint...I promishe

Ordinary bar.

A nice bar, good music but ordinary. It had area for cruising downsteps, but people are only interested in your conversations and drinks. Prices ok, but higher than those in the cities of German Rhineland.

Das Unbehagen in der Kultur

A man with a short circuit in progress would prepare me a gin lemon with lemon juice, right party's gay people lost in their breaths, I could not imagine how interesting was the meditated rosary they were miming with their mouths. Bear posers guarded the entrance of the darkroom, just to dissuade any dog from entering.... 7.20 euros for a gin and tonic in the twelfth year of the structural crisis of this sad Europe. You are hunting with a flamethrower all those under the IV or living on state subsidies... FAMILIAR is a bad word if we think that Freud on the relationship with the mother founded psychoanalysis.

Friendly?

First time in Berlin. Went to this “friendly bar” as long you are a local, everyone knew each other, chat chat chat, outsiders? Stay away, you’re not welcome.

Nix für nich stammgäste

Here you are only welcome as a regular guest. Otherwise, nobody is interested in you. You could drop dead here without anyone noticing.

Most unfriendly gay experience

If you’ve come to Berlin to enjoy diversity and friendliness this is definitely not the right place to go. As a gay man who entered with my partner and a straight couple never felt so unwelcome within the community. Staff was very rude and they acted as if they were doing us a favour. They might need to start thinking about changing the moto as it is A BIG FAT LIE.

Aperol Spritz experience

First time Berlin, first time Prinzknecht, sitting on the bar, de older barman ask what we drink, my husband ask an Aperol Spritz, de face of the man was like, you really mane this? his face looking so bad that I ask is there a problem for an Aperol Spriz? His answer was "yes to mush work for what I earn from it " we were a little in shock the 3 of us. We wonder we gonna leave this place or give it a chance, so after I order a gin Tonic and the other a Whisky Cola my husband ask also a Gin Tonic but the barman says no, I make an Aperol Spriz for you, no problem. After all he get friendlier and ask if the taste was good to my husband. It's a good looking bar but please note that not every gay drink 0,50l beer on a sunday night!

I had a great time

I'm a 58-yr old white American man, who speaks very little German (enough to order a drink - badly). I found every waiter to be kind and prompt and willing to put up with my terrible German. The place itself was clean and well set up, even during the incredibly crowded happy hour, where drinks were served quickly and credit cards swiped by portable machine. I found other travelers like myself who were eager to chat and share their adventures. I very much enjoyed it and will return in April (when I take my language course!)

The place is very nice, the people very cool and friendly, many are very hot; and was a very good option to start a wonderful gay night.

Very busy

I went here on a Friday evening and it was packed! Loads of guys. Great service. If you like older guys this is definitely the bar for you. Head here and then visit Connection Club next door!

Odd venue. Rude staff

Large, airy, brick lined bar with tables out front. Bar staff were uniformly behaving as if they're doing you a huge favour by serving you beer. It wasn't even busy and I was ordering in German. Lots of places to sit but that encourages groups rather than mingling.

Berlin's best bar

This has to be my favorite bar in Berlin and one of my favorite bars anywhere. Nothing beats this place on a warm summers evening with everyone spilling out on the street; it's gay heaven. Very little attitude from the customers and most are really friendly and happy to chat to strangers. The staff are all friendly and funny and most speak very good English. The prices are OK and they often do 2 for 1 or buy one get one free nights etc. There is a darkroom but I never found anyone in there - maybe it wasnt a darkroom but the cellar (or is that the same thing?). A great place for a drink and for meeting people. Definately in my top 5 bars anywhere. Enjoy.
