Bar and hotel closed
“The Garden Bar and Lotus Hotel have closed. I visited on 09/10/18 and it was all in darkness. I went across the road to the Adam’s Apple Club and they told me that the hotel and bar were closed on 01/10/18 for renovation.“

Pre Adam's Apple Club
“The Garden Bar is a great place to meet friends before going across the road to Adam's Apple Club. They are just 3 metres apart. The drinks are much cheaper than Adam's Apple.“

Quiet . . . very quiet
“I stay near the Lotus Hotel and I've been told that any sort of actual gay scene is just gone these days. The bar is nearly always empty, though the bartender is friendly. I've sampled the food at the restaurant which is fine.“

“As someone who stays at the Lotus Hotel, I was surprised to see The Garden Bar listed here. It is a low key place with friendly barren and it's own set of regulars. If you want excitement, go across the street to The Apple. The Garden Bar is a great place to start your evening.“

Tired But Could Be Fun
“This reminds me of a tired bar in Key West. It has the bones to be fun but it's deader than a door nail. Also don't make the mistake of eating dinner at the restaurant. Service and food were unacceptable. For example, I asked for a napkin. The bartender walked over and slammed down a box of kleenex. Nice.“
