Arizona Gay Rodeo 2026
Arizona Gay Rodeo returns for its 40th anniversary, February 13th to 15th, 2026. For three days, Phoenix’s Corona Ranch will feature rodeo action, wild entertainment, and queer celebration vibes. As an IGRA-sanctioned event, this annual event blends traditional rodeo, with drag flair, all while supporting LGBTQ+ charities.
Rodeo Events
From bull riding to goat dressing, the rodeo showcases both classic and quirky competitions designed for all skill levels:
-The Classics: Bull riding, steer riding, and calf roping
-Campy Favorites: Wild Drag Race (teams race in drag while completing obstacles) and Goat Dressing
-Team Challenges: Pole bending, flag racing, and steer decorating
-Events kick off daily with Grand Entry at 10 AM (Sat/Sun), followed by non-stop action under the Arizona sun.
Entertainment
When the action settles, the party heats up with:
-Live Shows: Drag performances, impersonator showcases, and dance acts from Friday night through Sunday
-Festival Vibes: Full-service bars, vendor markets, and "Games on the Green" for all ages
-After-Parties: Phoenix’s Melrose District gay bars host themed nights and dance parties
Why This Rodeo Stands Out
More than just a sporting event, the Arizona Gay Rodeo is a testament to LGBTQ+ resilience and community. Founded by volunteers, it’s one of the few rodeos where:
-All genders compete together in every event
-Drag queens and cowboys share the spotlight
-100% of proceeds benefit local queer charities
