Pride Barcelona 2025: parties, parade & events
28 June 2025 - 19 July 2025
Pride Village Eixample District, Barcelona, Spain

Get ready for one of the most exciting and vibrant Pride celebrations in Europe—Pride! Barcelona 2025! This iconic festival spans two weeks, from June 28 to July 12, for its Agenda Social phase, followed by the high-energy Pride Celebratiu long weekend from July 17 to July 19. Barcelona Pride is an inclusive celebration of LGBTQIA+ culture that brings together the best of art, activism, music, and pride. With free concerts, cultural exhibitions, drag performances, and one of the most dynamic parades in Europe, Pride! Barcelona is not to be missed.
The Social Agenda: Art and Advocacy
From June 28 to July 12, Barcelona’s LGBTQIA+ community will engage in a range of cultural and advocacy events as part of the Agenda Social. This includes LGBTQ+ film screenings at the Filmoteca de Catalunya, art exhibitions featuring queer Catalan artists, and topical conferences discussing crucial issues such as trans youth and refugee support. It’s a time to reflect on LGBTQIA+ history, engage in meaningful conversations, and celebrate culture in a more intimate and thoughtful way before the celebration hits full swing.
The Celebratory Pride: Party and Pride in the Heart of Barcelona
Pride Celebratiu takes place over the long weekend from July 17-19, beginning with the opening of Pride Village at Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina, by the iconic Magic Fountains of Montjuïc, on Thursday, July 17, 2025. This wide avenue will transform into the hub of all things Pride, with a mix of food trucks, bars, merchandise stalls, and NGO stands.
From July 17-18, the Pride Village will host free open-air concerts and shows on the main stage, starting at 8:00 PM and running until midnight. Past performances have featured Spanish pop stars, Eurovision alumni, and international acts. In 2025, Rosa López, the beloved Spanish Eurovision singer, is expected to perform, adding to the star-studded lineup. The concerts are free and open to all, attracting thousands of people who will dance under the stars in Plaça d’Espanya.
Drag fans will also have a blast at the Drag Gala on Friday, July 18, where local drag queens and RuPaul’s Drag Race España contestants will compete for the Pride Queen title in a dazzling performance. The drag culture is front and center, adding a flair of glamour and energy to Barcelona Pride.
The Pride Parade: A Fiesta on Wheels
The Pride Barcelona Parade takes place on Saturday, July 19, 2025 and is the highlight of the weekend. The parade, which starts at Parc de les Tres Xemeneies (Three Chimneys Park) on Avinguda del Paral·lel, will proceed along the entire length of this iconic avenue. The parade route is ideal for floats, ensuring that it passes through one of the most vibrant and visible areas of the city.
The procession is set to feature around 30 floats and thousands of marchers, with community groups, political parties, and LGBTQ+ organizations marching side by side. Expect a riot of color, music, and performance, with floats blaring Eurodance anthems, go-go dancers, and confetti cannons creating an explosive atmosphere.
The parade will last for about two hours, and as it reaches Plaça d’Espanya, the floats will pause, and a manifesto for LGBTQ+ rights will be read aloud by activists and community leaders. This solemn moment, followed by thunderous applause, marks the core message of the march.
LGBTQIA+ Culture: Universal Culture
The theme for Pride Barcelona 2025 is LGBTQIA+ Culture: Universal Culture, celebrating the profound influence that LGBTQIA+ individuals have had on art, literature, music, and social innovation throughout history. The festival highlights LGBTQ+ figures who have all contributed to the broader cultural landscape, challenging norms and creating a richer, more diverse world.
Twelve illustrators from Catalonia will portray queer cultural icons, with each representing one of the twelve colors of the inclusive pride flag. This celebration emphasizes how LGBTQIA+ culture is, and always has been, universal—shaping and moving society forward through art and progress.
Pride Village: Food, Fun, and Family-Friendly Activities
Throughout the weekend, Pride Village will host a variety of activities for all ages. Visitors can enjoy delicious food from a variety of food trucks, grab a refreshing drink from the bars serving Estrella beer and mojitos, and explore the merchandise market. There’s also a funfair area with carnival rides, as well as a kids/family zone earlier in the day, making this Pride event perfect for families who want to celebrate together.
