Oslo Pride 2025, Norway's largest LGBTQ+ event, will take place from June 20-28, 2025. This nine-day festival has established itself as one of Northern Europe's most significant Pride events, featuring over 150 different activities and attracting tens of thousands of participants from across Norway and around the world. Oslo Pride Highlights
Oslo Pride consists of four main components:
Pride House (June 23-26): A cultural and educational space hosting debates, workshops, and discussions focused on LGBTQ+ rights and issues.
Pride Park (June 26-29): The festival's centerpiece, located in central Oslo, features multiple stages for performances, food vendors, beer tents, and a market area with various merchandise and information booths. The park is free to enter and serves as the main gathering point throughout the festival.
Mini Pride (June 23-29): A series of family-friendly activities and events designed to be accessible for younger attendees and families.
Pride Parade (Saturday, June 28): The highlight of the festival, drawing massive crowds. The parade typically begins at Platous Street at 1 PM and proceeds through Oslo's downtown area to City Hall.
History and Significance
Oslo Pride began in1974, originally known as "Skeive Dager" (Queer Days). Oslo has twice hosted EuroPride (in 2005 and 2014), cementing its status as an important city in European LGBTQ+ culture.
