Zurich Gay Pride 2025: parade, events and hotels

Zurich Pride 2025, happening on the 20th and 21st of June is expected to attract thousands to the city for what is the highlight of the LGBT calendar each year! The festival centers around the Landiwiese site on Mythenquai, transforming the lakeside park into a a big gay playground.

Each year, Zurich Pride attracts a large international crowd to its colorful array of LGBT booths, fabulous shows, dance parties and other activities.

Entry to the main festival is free and over the course of two days you'll find musical artists and DJs on the main music stage. The festival is complemented by incredible food that the city is renowned for at a number of food stalls as well as plenty of bars.

Parade Details

The Zurich Pride Parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, with a manifestation at 1:00 PM and the parade commencing at 2:00 PM. The route begins at Helvetiaplatz, proceeding through the city center and concluding at Müllerstrasse. 

Zurich Pride History

The festival's roots trace back to 1994, when it began as Christopher Street Day. A significant evolution occurred in 2009 when Zurich hosted EuroPride, prompting the event's rebranding as Zurich Pride Festival. From its humble beginnings with approximately 2,000 participants, the event has grown exponentially, now drawing tens of thousands of attendees annually and establishing itself as one of Switzerland's most significant cultural events.
