Mature White guy visit

I thought about not going to HiMan sauna, as I heard that mature fellas like me, would not be popular, well I'm 58 years old and had a ball! Guys were eyeing me up in the shower, and as soon as I walked in steam room, hands were all over me. I'm going to be going a few more times before I leave Kaoshuing. What more can I say? Loved it.

Thursday night was packed

Went there on a Thursday night. Between 6:30 and 7:30, entrance was only 100TWD. Hence, it was still packed when we arrived at 9pm. Location is OK, one big steam room, private rooms and a dark room. Crowd was very mixed, from 20's to 45. A bit awkward - most guys were wearing underwear. Me as a good-looking bear guy, I had a lot of fun there.

warning to bears, pandas and chubs

rate: 500 NT for 16 hours 250 for 6 hours I just came out of this spa and guess what? Bears like me are not welcome for play. And spa goers are majority thin, and semi muscular guys. Dont waste money. find anothet place

Great place to hang out and have fun

The place is easily accessible via KH Metro. The staff was helpful and friendly. It doesn't get busy until after 7pm. Tons of hot guys and some not so hot. Always fun in the steam room and dark video room. Very clean compare to the others in KH

Nice little gay spa/sauna

Nice clean space for one to relax, unwind or have some fun. The entry way is on the 3rd floor and you can see the signage from the street. You go in and the attendant ask for NT$250 which is only around $9USD. I went on a Wednesday afternoon since all my friends are all work and I have nothing better to do. I was expecting the whole place to be empty and can just take steam or sauna. The place was relatively empty but there were some attractive guys there ranging from early 20's to mid 40's. Guys were friendly and nice. The place was clean and everything pretty well kept. They have a smoking area as well. The staff was very helpful with my broken Chinese.

Sadly not for everyone.

Visited hi man after several wonderful experiences at Han's Xi men Taipei. Read the reviews and booked a hotel for a week in KAOHSIUNG. Worse mistake I could of made. Staff couldn't wouldn't show interest and paying customer support, or the least amount of friendliness it was clear I did not fit the East Asian fit young (twenties) agenda that their Facebook account shows. The facility is quite small on the level. The toilet facility literally stinks out the premises with ammonia, Urine and is very unpleasant to use. One has to ask for a paper cup from staff to use for water. Absolutely Nothing is given which with other saunas are regularly given. Toothpaste, Tooth brushes, cups etc.....Not here! The expensive costs of $450 Taiwan $ or if your a foreigner $500 Taiwan $...and no chance of any male contact. I felt like a leper! Boring TV Porn and same video recording over and over! Most nights are barely occupied with a handful of men who look, ignore you and walk on with distaste. Very Lonely place to visit and be ignored! This was the most unfriendly, unrewarding, unpleasant sauna experience I have ever endured and I am a gay traveler who travels for months a year to many gay places and saunas across the globe.

Surprisingly good

After an "unforgettable" experience at Adam sauna (see my review), I was hesitant about my visit to hi man sauna on 30/1/14 at 11:30pm - 5am. Being Chinese new year eve I feared another ghost town of a place... But what a surprise! Lots of guys mid 20s up until the early morning (3'ish). The facility opened in 2013 so you expect amenities to be in good working order (and they were). But what stood out the most for me was the enthusiasm and care of the staff. Besides being good-looking and cheerful. I noticed one of them kindly asking if a patron was okay because he seemed to have passed out on one if the sofas. If sauna staff care for patrons, then one can expect they'll care for the sauna too. Definitely worth going!
