    Iconic Manchester Gay Bar

Iconic Bar is a friendly independent LGBTQ+ bar tucked just behind Canal Street on Richmond Street in Manchester’s Gay Village.

It’s a smaller, sociable spot with a local feel, known for its huge gin selection, affordable drinks, pop bangers, and easygoing atmosphere. The bar runs regular themed nights, DJs, cabaret, open mic events, and special events throughout the year.

It’s a good choice if you want somewhere relaxed and welcoming before heading deeper into the Village nightlife.

    Beware of patronising W. A. G'S

Well, if THIS is a Manchester welcome for a stranger, I'd love to know how they treat people they DO know. Just walked into the Iconic bar (situated in the rather seedy Richmond Street, opposite the classier Molly House) and, while waiting to be served, some chav woman came up behind me, standing back to back, and grabbed at my clothing - putting my hood on her head (while said hood was still attached to ME which resulted in my getting an arse full of HER arse)! She and her friends found this act amusing. I found it an embarrassing intrusion on my person and had to leave, quickly.

    Saturday night

Not the best!! In fact not good at all, bar staff was in the back, someone had to get them out to serve me and then when they did it was like they could not be bothered. I was in a big group and it’s not cheap in there. Would not ever go back there again. The owner was away that’s what I was told that’s the reason the staff was playing up!
