    V friendly bar in TST

Contrary to some of the reviews this is a very friendly bar with a mixed crowd. The new manager Robert and his staff (especially Leo) give a warm welcome and the drinks are very fairly priced. I will be returning on my next visit to HK.

    Not the same

This place is not as the same before. Service was never great. Bartenders or servers weren't never particularly friendly. I came here for crusing. All the Western tourstists were gone. There is no reason for me to come back. Everytime I came here in the last three years found locals here not particularly friendly. Sad. I have to let go and tell myself it's not worth coming back.

    Showed up. Nobody home.

Was looking for a spot for an early evening cocktail around 7pm on a Saturday night. Thought I would try this place based on the description. Unfortunately there was no one there and I didn't stay b

    I am here

I am here at New Wally Matt's, Very quiet. Good music. It is Tuesday at 8:45 pm. The bar tender was efficient but not friendly. Where is everybody? It seems that weekdays are this way here...

Lost so much of its charm.

When "Wally's" was located on Humphrey's Road, it used to be FULL of people almost every night. The new location on Austin Rd. is disappointing and hardly seems to attract anyone. I was there on a Saturday evening and it was empty! It's really no longer what it used to be and I'm a bit sad, because I used to enjoy going to this bar a lot at its old location.

    Faded Glory

I do agree with Alex that Wally Matt is not the place it used to be. I miss the old place's atmosphere. I went there twice, I was the only customer in the first instance. The 2nd time there was a group of young men singing karaoke. Gone are the days when it was the hot place for picking up & meeting people.

    It!s Closed

This bar has gone out of business. This is very sad, because it used to be a Hong Kong institution.
