Considering this is the only real LGBTQ venue in Oxford I’m surprised to read this review. The weekend evenings are thriving with up to date lively music and full of students during term time. The day times are obviously quieter with a more “folk” type vibe but that takes nothing away from the venue. It’s cleaner now than ever, the beers are better, staff are fun and friendly. If you want something different you could always try Glamorous but you have half as much fun and the drinks are awful.

I think you should put this in context, businesses change with the need of their customer. And when people get barred for being a drunken nuisance they become bitter and write rude reviews. Best thing to do is go and visit it yourself. Friday and Saturdays are busier, but it’s got a good vibe most nights. It is quieter out of term time as students frequent the venue regularly.

Drank here yesterday and had a great time. Great mixed crowd of varying ages, garden was rammed. Clean and tidy and better than it ever was.
