EuroPride 2023 Valletta

Spanning 10 days and kicking off on the 7 September 2023, EuroPride Valletta 2023 is already shaping up to be an unforgettable celebration on Malta’s sunny shores. EuroPride is an annual event, with previous host cities including London, Madrid, Paris, and Rome.

Malta, a small island nation in the Mediterranean, is known as one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly countries in Europe, according to the ILGA Europe Rainbow Europe index. The Maltese government has passed progressive legislation to protect the rights of queer individuals, and the people of Malta are known for their welcoming and accepting attitudes toward the community.

Whilst EuroPride Valletta 2023 will be a kaleidoscopic celebration of LGBTQ+ community and culture, with a variety of events, parties, and parades, the goal of EuroPride Valletta 2023 is to offer the EMENA (European, Middle East & North Africa) LGBTIQ+ community a safe haven from persecution and a platform on which human rights issues can be discussed.

This year, the festival will be celebrating its 27th anniversary and will be held in Malta's capital city of Valletta from 7th to 17th September 2023.

September 07 - Opening event
September 07 - Representing Pride | Photography Exhibition: Experience a groundbreaking exhibition that celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community through a collection of stunning photographs from across the globe.
September 09 - Gozo Pride | Pride March & Concert: EuroPride 2023 will take place across the entirety of Malta, and Gozo Pride March promises to be one of the celebration’s highlights. Head to Victoria, Gozo for a Pride demonstration like no other.
September 16 - The EuroPride March: The highlight of EuroPride Valletta 2023, the March will see thousands of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies take to Valletta’s historied streets.
September 16 - The EuroPride Concert: Headlined by Christina Aguilera, the EuroPride Concert is the explosively exciting ending to EuroPride Valletta 2023. With more artists to be announced, this concert is one that won’t be forgotten easily.
