Sofia Pride 2026: parade, history and dates

Sofia Pride 2026 takes place on Saturday June 13, marking the 19th consecutive year that Bulgaria's largest human rights event has taken to the streets of the capital.

Details of this year's programme are still to be announced, but previous editions have combined a march through the city centre with a concert, drawing significant crowds and sustained political and diplomatic support from embassies, politicians and public figures.

Sofia Pride is organised by a coalition of Bulgarian LGBTQ+ organisations including Bilitis Resource Center Foundation, LGBT Deystvie and GLAS, and carries real weight in a country where same-sex relationships and families remain without legal recognition.
