A popular gay nightclub in Greenwich Village, just across the road from The Stonewall Inn - ideal for bar-hopping.

Old-fashioned, but the drinks are reasonably priced - at least by New York standards. In the evening, a pianist plays show tunes, inspiring enthusiastic sing-alongs. Later in the night, the basement opens. You can pop downstairs and have a boogie with a mixed crowd, go-go dancers and lip-syncing drag queens including the legendary drag DJ Lady Bunny.

Head there on Saturday for the popular Manster all-night dance party.
