Sapporo Gay Bars

    Sapporo Gay Bars

Sapporo has a small but vibrant gay scene where most of the gay bars are located within the SA Building in Sapporo's city centre.

The bar staff speak limited English, but they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Expect to pay a "Charm Charge" (or table charge) of 1,000 Yen per person on top of your bill. Many gay bars also have men-only policy.

A "New Half Show Club" in Sapporo. The show is called "New Half" because the top part of the show artists are "new" (boobs and face jobs).

Each show is very well-executed with a lot of time and effort spent on costumes and makeup. The whole production consists of over 20 drag queens delivering various Japanese and international numbers.

The show costs around 4,400¥ (with free drinks) and is about 90 minutes long. There are 3 shows nightly (8pm, 10pm, 12am). Advance reservation recommended.
