Small, intimate bar with a slightly old-fashioned feel in Florence historical centre. Piccolo Café serves a selection of drinks and beer.
On the weekend, resident DJ plays mainstream international and Italian tunes. A good place to meet up with your friends (gay or straight) and socialise.

“piccolo e' giusto nome buona musica ma un po noioso dopo 10 minuti e finito il drink te ne vai“
“Im from Amsterdam. I have born on 1 January 2001. I wanted 2 celebrate my 17ht birthday in this Café in Florence than I decided 2 go 2 there. It was 4st January of 2018 but the cafeteria was closed. maybe Italian have holiday in this night :(“
“We were there over the weekend. Friday and Saturday night were busy with loads of guys out on the narrow street. Great lively buzz.
Bar staff are a little strange and it can take a while to get a drink. Not the usual friendly welcome to overseas gay visitors but otherwise a really nice central place.
It's probably not that busy before 12 midnight.“
“This is a cute little bar, and I found the staff to be lively and very friendly two nights recently. Unfortunately, the same can not be said of the customers. Florence Gays do not know how to interact socially, to the point of being rude by the standards of most countries. Bad enough they only talk to their friends, but they turn their chairs away from you, don't say hi if you sit beside them at the bar (an absolute no-no in most places), and turn away without saying hi when they catch your eye.
In the end I was so bored I made a point of catching ten people's eye and saying hi. I've played this game in cities all over the world, and have never made it to the tenth hi because I was already engaged in delightful conversations. In an hour in this place I got only five people to say hi.
Go with friends or skip the gay scene in Florence.“
“The bar is good if you are coming with friends. There were many there ( men and women) who came to celebrate an event and that was nice to witness. If you are a single patron, no one from the staff speaks to you unless you are their "type". The staff sat in a corner of the bar and often spoke with each other only.“
“OK bar, nice enough music, mixed crowd various ages. Staff not very frinedly though.“
“:) I would ike to comment on the statement above "there are plenty of Italians who will do their best to communicate with you and teach you a little Italian." Been there many times for my one month vacation in Florence. Not one or never you will talk to anyone there except for the owner who serve beer. The owner is friendly. They smoke inside the bar which is not good even there is sign for not allowed to smoke inside.“
