Possibly Europe's most liberal and subversive capital city, Amsterdam has been a hub for gay nightlife for decades. From the neon glow of the Red Light District to the smoke that billows from coffeeshop doorways, Amsterdam is a city where anything goes. When it comes to the city’s gay scene, most of the best gay venues can be found along Reguliersdwarsstraat, Amsterdam’s unofficial gay district. Here youll find an assortment of bars and clubs catering to every interest, taste, and aesthetic, but the blanket open-mindedness of the city means youll find great gay nightlife on almost any street.

English-style gay bar in the heart of Amsterdam's gay scene. SoHo is great for drinks after work or pre-clubbing. Resident and guest DJs spin dance music on the weekends.
We like the bar's outside terrace area, a great spot to take a breather from the hot dance floor. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
