The Banyan Tree Club & Spa is a luxury 5-star hotel located in the heart of central Seoul. The previously Namsan Tower Hotel is a boutique-style with resort facilities. The Banyan Tree has an outdoor pool that overlooks the city, Korean BBQ is also served poolside. Incheon International Airport is around an hours drive from the hotel. One of the most expensive hotels we recommend on Travel Gay Asia. Is it worth the price? Yes. You don't just 'stay' here, you also 'experience' it. The "Spa" bit is not just an add-on but a fundamental part of the hotel's concept. The huge suite has its own plunge pool and panoramic views - not unusual for a luxury resort, but on the 19th floor? The hotel spa is a true sanctuary with an impressive range of facilities such as a Korean sauna, a gym, indoor pools that are amongst the best in town. The Banyan Tree is 15 minutes by taxi from gay bars on 'Homo Hill', but the busy Myeongdong shopping street (10 min.) and the amazing Leeum Samsung Museum of Art (5 min.) are closer.
Imperial Palace Boutique Hotel
The most popular hotel in Seoul on Travel Gay Asia. The modern Imperial Palace (IP) Boutique is an easy walk to Always Homme gay bar, Club HIM by Pulse, Equus cruise club and other gay venues. This great-value hotel features bright, comfortable rooms with flat screen TV, iPod dock, free WiFi and fully mirrored bathroom. The Café Amiga serves all-day buffet that includes wine in the evening. The IP has its own gym if you're up for a bit of exercise. Many restaurants and cafés in the area.
The newly upgraded Hamilton is in perfect location for the Itaewon gay nightlife, right next to Itaewon subway station and just a few minutes' walk from HOMPA by Le Queen, Club HIM by Pulse and the gay bars on 'Homo Hill'. Guest rooms have been renovated with modern furnishings, flat screen TV's, free WiFi, mini-fridges and private bathroom with hi-tech Daelim electronic toilets. The hotel has a great gym and a nice rooftop pool with sun loungers that are quite popular in the summer with the muscled gay crowd. An endless choice of restaurants, cafés and shops are nearby.
The Shilla Seoul
The Shilla offers a beautiful location that's great for sightseeing and shopping - 10-15 minutes to the Seoul Tower, Dongdaemun Market. A popular budget hotel with gay visitors. The 3-star Hotel Pop has a great location, close to all the gay bars in Jongno area and just a 5-minute walk from Jongno 3-ga subway station. Guest rooms have funky designs with unique wall paintings. Each room features two computers with fast WiFi connection, flat screen TV, en suite bathroom, minibar with free soft drinks and juice. Hotel Pop is a 10-minute walk from traditional Korean restaurants and shops at Insadong and a 5-minute drive from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Changdeokgung.

Hotel Aventree Jongno
Modern hotel in a convenient location, very close to the Jongno gay bars, 5-minute walk from Insadong cultural street and 10 minutes from Jongno 3-ga subway station. Guest rooms have free WiFi. The hotel has its own gym, and the in-house Avenue 65th restaurant serves daily buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Popular gay Bar Friends and many more gay bars in Jongno are all within 10 minutes' walk from the Aventree. Plenty of local dining options nearby, too.

Stay In GAM Hostel
We are not sure what GAM stands for but it certainly isn't 'Gay Asian Male'. This nice modern hostel is well-located for the local gay scene in Jongno - only minutes away from the bars and subway station. All dorms and rooms have air conditioning and heating. Bathrooms are either private or shared. There is a public kitchen. The hostel offers free WiFi and free Continental breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful. Stay in GAM is a 2-minute walk from Changdeokgung Palace and about a 15-minute walk from the trendy Insadong.
An excellent budget choice. The U&I Hostel is located in Yongsan district, next to the Sookmyung subway station. Rooms at have free WiFi, wooden floors, flat screen TV, fridge. Bathrooms are either shared or private. There is a shared living room and common kitchen. Breakfast is offered for free every morning. U&I Hostel is a 5-minute drive from Seoul Railway Station and within a 15-minute drive from the gay scene in Itaewon and N Seoul Tower.

We recommend the Lotte Seoul for many reasons. This 5-star hotel is linked to the Euljiro 1-ga subway station, Lotte Department Store and huge range of shopping and restaurants in Myeongdong. The hotel has great facilities include an indoor swimming pool, several restaurants, gym and sauna. Guest rooms enjoy city views, free WiFi, flat screen TV's, modern bathrooms, desks, minibars. Great value and location. From the Lotte, you can walk to Namdaemun Market in 10 minutes or take the subway (or a short taxi ride) to Bar Friends, Shortbus, BB Bar, etc.
