Hotel Brasil Tropical is located in the heart of Fortaleza near the seafront - much of the gay nightlife is on your doorstep.

The apartment rooms are large, comfortable and great value for money. All come with a kitchenette, balcony and TV. If you want to make your own food there's a large market right by the hotel. A buffet breakfast if served every morning.

The barman makes very good caipirinhas. All of the staff are very helpful - not many speak English though.

Hotel Beira Mar is located on the beach promenade close to Mucuripe fish market and the gay bar, Barraca do Joca.

Front view balconies are real sun traps - they can get hot. The views of Beira Mar are excellent. Rooms overlooking the side streets are less hot.

The hotel has free parking and a good breakfast is served each morning.

The rooms are comfortable, clean and slightly on the small side. This hotel is however in a great location and the price is reasonable.

Located in a good downtown beachfront location, many of Fortaleza's main attractions and gay nightlife are on your doorstep. You can also get a good price here, particularly if you book in advance.

Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 10:30.

Atlantic Ocean Residence offers serviced apartments close to downtown Fortaleza where you'll find gay bars, and Monsenor Tabosa for shopping. There's a rooftop pool and jacuzzi with great views.

Located in the less busy beachfront area, the livelier parts of the city are a short walk or cab ride away.

The apartments are clean and well-appointed with slightly basic decor - this is usually the case in Fortaleza. You can get very good deals in these apartments - it's an ideal budget option.
