Gran Canaria is a major gay hotspot. You have the sun, the sea and plenty of hot easy-going people to mingle and have fun with. So naturally, it has a large selection of some of the best gay hotels and resorts in the world! Many of these are men-only as well as clothing-optional or entirely nude.
Here is a list of the ones that we love the most, with both high end and budget-friendly hotels.
Part of the Axel hotel group, AxelBeach Maspalomas is a popular gay hotel that happens to be ‘straight-friendly’.
The adult-only hotel is made up of 92 apartments.
AxelBeach’s Sky Bar is a popular hang out spot for guests grab a drink and mingle with each other, or alterantively, just lounge by the pool in a hammock. Tapas is served poolside, but if you want a less busy place to relax, the Axel Lounge Garden is perfect for this.
The hotel has its very own tennis track, gym, and bike rental services. For a post workout treat, head to the dry/wet saunas or the massage cabins.
Club Torso Gay Hotel & Resort
Club Torso is a very sought after male-only, all-inclusive gay resort located within a walking distance from bars, restaurants and, Playas Menoras. This resort is clothing-optional, and is made up of 12 bungalows.
Club Torso stays true to its name, with the 24/7 basement club, which is a must-see! Guests can mingle here, or for a more relaxed atmposphere, the pool bar. The pool itself is saltwater and is heated to provide a confortable lounging exprience.
Past and returning guests have appreciated the level of service, as well as hotel perks such as access to the open air stadium nearby.
Paso Chico Gay Bungalows is an icon! Incredibly popular with guests, this adult-only, gay-men-only and clothing-only hotel is a must-visit. The hotel has a private and intimate feel about it, and the bungalows are meant to feel like a home away from home, and there is a gorgeaous terrace that provides amazing views of the city.
Its location makes it a great place for a gay man to holiday, as it is across the street from the Yumba Centre, the gay hotspot of Gran Canaria. You have the option of lounging by the pool or walking to Kiosk #7 which is Gran Canaria’s gay beach, then hit the bars and clubs without worrying about transport.
Seven Hotel & Wellness is a gay-men-only hotel, focused on wellness as a lifestyle.
This focus can be seen within the design of the hotel, the rooms have amazing views of the mountains and come with their own private terraces, as well as bathrooms that function as small spas.
The pool is heated and has built in sun loungers, creating such a relaxing atmohpere. Central Mespolomas is only a 20-minute walk away, but if you want a bite to eat, head to the on-site restaurant, Abora.
A men-only resort, Villas Blancas is definitley worth the visit. It is the largest gay complex in Gran Canaria, and is perfectly located as all of the gay hotspots such as Yumbo, Maspalomas Dunes, and Kiosk #7 are all within a walking distance!
The gay hotel has two pools, one which is situated right outside of the on-site restaurant, as well as a bar and sun terraces to hang out in. There is also a jacuzzi and sauna, which should provide comfort and relaxation during your stay.
The Vista Bonita is a male-only, clothing-optional gay hotel, located less an 3km away from the Maspalomas Dunes.
The hotel is made up of 20 rooms, all coming with their own kitchenettes. The Vista Bonita is a great choice for a laid back stay, but is also perfect for the adventurer too. Through the hotel, you are able to access activities such as windsurfing, diving, tubing, and more!
However, if this isn’t your thing, there is a very large pool to lounge around, as well as a partially outdoor library. There is bar and terrace that give great views of the gorgeous gardens and if you want to venture out further, Vista Bonita are happy to arrange transportation.
Aqua Beach Bungalows, a male-only, clothing-optional hotel is incredibly popular due to its location. Sat opposite the Yumbo Centre, this hotel is perfect if you want to explore the nightlife in the area.
Aside from this, guests love staying here because of the cummunity feel created by the hotel. There is a lively atnosphere, particularly in the evenings, and during the day the canopy beds around the pool is where the mingling takes place. Other features include a pool bar and a jaccuzzi.

The Rainbow Golf Bungalows is the most awarded gay resort, and is clothing-optional and male-only.
The resort is made up of 21 bungalows, with each having their own private terrace. The hotel boats amazing features such as an infrared sauna, an all year round heated pool, and more!
The rooms themselves are spacious and because of it’s location in a redsidential area, it is generally quiet and secluded. However, if you want to experience the nightlife, the Yumbo Centre is only a 14-minute walk away!
Tropical La Zona
Tropial La Zona is a laid back, gay hotel located just a 5 minute walk from Yumbo Centre.
The resort is gay-men only, which inclcudes the staff too. This gay hotel has an entirely nude complex and has a designated area specifically for cruising. There is a heated pool that has a pool bar, as well as a jacuzzi, massage services, and an open air gym.
