    Malmo Pride

Malmö Pride 2025 returns from July 2nd to 5th, bringing bold conversations, community connection, and unforgettable celebrations to southern Sweden. This year marks 10 years of Malmö Pride, and the program goes all in, pairing the political heart of Pride with city-wide fun, and wrapping it all up with a closing party that’s not for the faint of fabulous.

The Pride Parade: Marching for a Decade of Progress

The Malmö Pride Parade takes place on Saturday, July 5th, and it’s the highlight of the festival. Thousands will gather at 11:30am at Lördagsplan, opposite Stadsbiblioteket, where keynote speaker Alice Bah Kuhnke will set the tone for the day. There’ll be a wedding ceremony, a performance of the official Pride anthem by The Guilt, and a welcome from host André Gatu, all before the march steps off at 1 pm.

The route takes over the city, winding through Triangeln and up to Möllevångstorget, before heading down toward Folkets Park, where the energy continues with open-air performances, food, markets, and dancing. Anyone can join the parade: individuals can simply show up, while organizations can register in advance to march together.

Pride House: Politics, Panels, and Big Ideas

The beating brain of the festival, Pride House, runs Wednesday through Friday with a different theme each day:

Wednesday: Identity explores personal expression with talks like Queer identities in games and a panel on Asian intersectional queer perspectives.

Thursday: Relationing focuses on chosen families, queer elders, ADHD and sex, and the structures that support LGBTQIA+ lives.

Friday celebrates a decade of Malmö Pride, with reflections on faith, history, and international solidarity—including a special session on Svenska Kyrkan’s role in Pride and an international panel on resistance.

    Pride Heart: The Fun Centre

This is the festival’s social playground, mixing drag, music, quizzes, and cheeky confessions with late-night beats until 1am. Think pop-up performances, good drinks, and a crowd that knows how to party with purpose.

Youth Pride: By and For Young Queers

At Arena 305, LGBTQ+ youth aged 13–25 have their own dedicated space. Expect workshops, drag, karaoke, gaming, and a full schedule of activities hosted by trusted local orgs like Transjouren, RFSU, and Habitat Q—all in a sober, welcoming setting.

Pride in the City: Queer All Over

The city joins the celebration with art shows, karaoke, drag bingo, and other pop-up events. Some are part of the official program, others are grassroots gems from local community groups. Keep your eyes peeled and your schedule flexible.

    Pride Park: A Saturday Celebration

After the parade, Folkets Park transforms into Pride Park with a full afternoon and evening lineup. Stages will feature performers like Silvana Imam, Sedric Perry, Fanny Ekelund, and Cabaret Moulin, while the park hosts a queer market, food stalls, dancing, and family-friendly activities like drag storytelling.

    SLUTFEST: The Grand Finale

On Saturday night, Moriskan hosts SLUTFEST, Malmö Pride’s legendary closing party. Tuck o' Hej returns with drag kings and queens, DJs Mohamed Touzari and Viktor Flarkell keep the main hall moving, Ghaba Garage hosts a SWANA Pride set in the mirror hall, and HERA brings the heat in the bistro. Queer, sweaty, joyful—and always sold out.
