Will You Be There Darling? (WYBTD?)
The friendly, inclusive and non-tribal social experience.
Join us on Saturday 21 March 2021 when we take over the exquisite private member's club, The Phoenix Arts Club, in the heart of the West End, for our exclusive WYBTD Social event where we socialise in a relaxed easy-going environment followed by a cabaret show.
The Phoenix Artist Club has been entertaining entertainers since 1988, and is one of the last remaining truly independent venues in London’s West End. Secreted away down the same little side street used in the opening sequence of Harry Potter and tucked beneath The Phoenix Theatre lies a charming escape from the London norm. With fascinating signed posters, paintings and pictures from decades of theatre productions, a restored art deco interior and hidden treasures lurking in every corner, there's something new to see on every visit! The event is in two parts:
- Social from 7:00pm to 8:30pm
- Cabaret Show from 8:30pm by Michael Twaits + Special Guests
Our evening will begin at 7:00pm when WYBTD Members will be encouraged to mingle and socialize. Name tags will be provided to everyone and dedicated hosts will make introductions.
If you haven't been to any of our Meetups yet we appreciate it can be a bit daunting to come to a social event when you don't know anyone else there. This is precisely the point of WYBTD though: to make sure everyone is fully integrated in the group especially since almost everyone who comes to our Meetups comes alone.
Then after 8:30pm there will be a live Cabaret Show by fabulous drag artiste Michael Twaits
Michael Twaits is an actor and cabaret performer. He has worked for Pride In London for the past five years hosting Pride’s Got Talent, programming some of the cabaret stages and now hosts Trafalgar Square during Pride
The new Saturday Supershow features comedy, cabaret, drag, musical theatre and top-tier entertainment from the get-go!
TICKETS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN ADVANCE! The Phoenix Arts Club is a prestigious private members club which means only their members are normally allowed entry. No one can simply buy tickets at the door and go in! We are honoured to have been allowed to run our WYBTD event there under the strict instructions that we will provide our guest list in advance therefore you need to get your tickets here before the event starts.

The entire event will be fully hosted. Your friendly host, Michael R, is a veteran of more than 1,700 Meetup events making sure everyone is properly introduced and there are no cliques. - WhatsApp him directly on 07549228398 if you are coming alone (like most of our members) so that he can look out for you and to make introductions.

A WYBTD? social event is a party night like no other; it is primarily a ‘social mixer’ where everyone integrates in a relaxed, easy-going environment. WYBTD is known for being inclusive and non-judgemental so ALL are welcomed regardless of social background, income, colour, ethnicity, disability, HIV status, size, age, shape or even hairiness.
“None of us are equal until all of us are equal.”
We don’t believe in boxes, labels or tribes; as we’re all queer, one way or another, and are proud too!
We don’t care less if you are top, bottom, vers, bear, clean-cut, daddy, twink, trans, poz, geek, muscle-Mary, hunk, otter or whatever else... this is a social event for US ALL!
We don't believe in gender stereotypes (such as masc/femme) or slut-shaming or body-shaming. Heels are more than welcome :->
We are all 'good gays' some of whom are more shy or socially anxious than others - so we have dedicated hosts making sure everyone is introduced and not left out. Basically, a clubbing night where everyone knows there’s a familiar face to smile with, chat with or ask for help or support.
