Group Trip Breakdown

Days 1 and 2: Budapest
This morning, you can explore Budapest at your leisure until your room is ready. Later you'll have the chance to settle into your room before meeting your fellow guests at a welcome reception, after which we'll have dinner aboard the Amadeus Queen. The next day will be spent exploring Budapest further. Enjoy historic tours of Buda Castle, the Fisherman's Bastion, the Royal Palace and St. Stephen's Basilica. You'll also have the option of joining an (optional) excursion where we visit Esztergom and Szentendre. Tonight we dine on board before cruising along the city's waterfront.

Day 3: Mohacs and Vukovar
Today you can join an excursion to Vukovar and Nature Park, Kopacki Rit. At Kopacki Rit there will be a boat tour so you can fully appreciate the surroundings. Later, visit a small fishing village that was founded in the 13th century. Here you'll have a short talk on fishing techniques, sample some local wine and taste products from the eastern region of Croatia. Stroll through Vukovar before boarding the ship this evening.

Day 4: Belgrade
Our next destination is Belgrade, Serbia's capital and one of the oldest cities in Europe. Take in the city with a tour, taking you to Kalemegdan Fortress which is k0wn for its stunning views. Later we'll visit the National Museum, Parliament, Terazje Square, the Palace of Princess Ljubica and St. Sava Cathedral. Take a quick refreshment break at the Hotel Majestic before we continue on to the pedestrian zone, k0wn for its shops and art galleries.

Day 5: Iron Gates
Relax on board as we continue cruising the Danube River. Observe the impressive Iron Gates, a narrow gorge between the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains.

Day 6: Svistov
Today we travel by bus towards Veliko Tar0vo, located on the banks of the Yantra River, Bulgaria. Look out for the historic Tsarevets Fortress where 22 tsars made history in the second Bulgaria empire. Later, visit the 13th century church St. Peter and Paul, which has been maintained authentically since the medieval ages.

Day 7: Danube Delta and St. George Village
This morning will be spent cruising the Sfantu Gheorghe, one of the Danube Delta's three main channels. Remotely located, St. George's village is scattered with traditional thatch cottages. As we reach St. George prepare for the Delta Safari boat excursion, which will take you to the narrow channels of the Danube Delta. Here you can see pelicans, black-headed gulls and herons.

Day 8: Harsova and Bucharest
Prepare to disembark the ship, as today we're travelling to Constanta, Romania's largest seaport located on the Black Sea. As we travel to the Archaeological Museum look out for some of the town's most interesting landmarks. Upon arrival we'll tour the old town by foot, visiting the Ovidius Publius Naso statue and the Roman Edifice Mosaic. Later, admire the great Mosque and St. Peter and St. Paul Cathedral. This after0on enjoy lunch by the sea before we continue on to Bucharest.

Day 9: Bucharest
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, after which we'll be going on a pa0ramic tour of Bucharest to view the city's highlights. Explore the city's eclectic architecture, as well as a visit to the People's Palace.

Day 10: Bucharest
Today marks the end of our gay group trip together. Transfer to the Henris Coanda International Airport and prepare for your flight home.

Further Information

You’ll be sailing in style on the Lord of the Glens, a splendid Scottish cruise ship. It’s an elegant seafaring yacht that can sail through the Caledonian Canal but also sail the Atlantic. This will be an all LGBT trip of no more than 54 guests. Expect a Scottish breakfast every morning and nightly entertainment.
