At 34 metres high, this is the world's tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha image. It is located at the Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island.

The Monastery dates from 1924 and features a number of interesting temples and other structures. The Big Buddha (Tian Tan Buddha) is open to the general public between 10am-5:30pm.

The quickest way to get to Po Lin Monastery is via the Ngong Ping cable car outside the Tung Chung MTR Station (25 minutes and an additional 10 minutes' walk to the Monastery).
