Named after the Chicago politician who fought for gay rights in the 1980s, Kathy Osterman Beach is a gay beach at the northernmost tip of Lincoln Park at Ardmore Avenue in Chicago. Also known as Hollywood Beach, its pure white sand will make you feel like you are in Florida rather than Illinois - the crowd is much more down-to-earth than on south coast beaches.

Smoking is not permitted on this beach, but there is free WiFi and restrooms.

There is no car parking available, but the beach is easy to reach via public transport. The southern part close to the pier is exclusively gay.
