1 Hollywood Road, Central 蘇豪荷李活道1號低層, Hong Kong, China

CLOSED (February 2016).

This legendary venue is one of the longest-running and largest nightclubs in Hong Kong. Whether you love it or hate it, Propaganda continues to be the place to dance into the early hours of the morning.

Located halfway down a narrow alley called Ezra Lane, just off Hollywood Road. Nearest MTR: Central Station

"After 25 years in serving our community, it is an end of an era in running the most iconic & historical Gay/LGBT club in Central, Hong Kong. These are very unforgettable years & we have oh so many people to say thanks & pay tribute to including of course our predecessors in Central who braved much stronger winds in the 70's & 80's just to be around. We are happy that a much more energetic & creative generation can now carry forward this rainbow flag of clubbing for many years to come.

Behind the scenes of Propaganda, we have been so blessed by the countless number of past & current staff members who gave our hearts in our service, trying our best to always create a fun & enjoyable venue. OK, we have our occasional hiccups ... we are just humans after all!

Most of all, it's every one of 'You' who walked through the doors of Propaganda from Hong Kong or all parts of the world that have really touched our hearts in a quarter of a century to make Propaganda special! Not to mention the music, shows, drinks, flings, gossips, happy times & heart broken nights ... OMG, 25 years just flew by in no time!

Every weekend from now until the end of January, we invite you to drop by & share 'the collective Gay/LGBT clubbing memories of Hong Kong' for the last time!

Will stay in touch on 'Propaganda Hong Kong' Facebook ...Hugs & Kisses,

-Propaganda (1991-2016)"

Mr

Really sad to hear PP has closed. I lived in Hong Kong for nearly 8 years and went often. Before Hollywood Road they were in what later became known as Works Bar. Really sad.

How can this place stay open?

Went on Saturday 15th August visiting from Liverpool. Three people in from 2am to 3. Waste of time.

World Traveller Disappointed

No name visible so I couldn't find it. Had to ask a str8 local LOL. Got there at 12.40 it was almost empty. At 2am the queens arrive in a flurry stand around. DJ needs to update his list, doesn't read the crowd. Just carrys on playing the same old tunes even though no one is dancing. No one danced until 2.30. Everyone stands around in little clusters doing nothing. 2nd DJ was better. Guys are so self conscious so they can't enjoy themselves. No style, can't dance won't dance BORINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. Wont be going back! EVERRRR

Really don't bother

This is the best that Hong Kong can do - maybe 40 people at 2am on a warm Saturday night. Really not worth anyone's time.

Overpriced club

Drinks at Propaganda are expensive. There isn't much crowd even when I went on a Saturday night. The place looked old and the staff is rather unfriendly. Will not visit again.
