This multi-level cafe bar in West Hollywood is an L.A. gay institution and definitely makes for one of the best nights out in town, with eye candy aplenty and all those Californian Muscle Mary's seeing and being seen.

The Abbey won the MTV Logo Best Gay Bar In The World Award twice. You can eat, drink, dance and watch Drag Race. Head out onto the terrace to wine and dine in the sunshine.

If you're planning to make a night of it, you can dance until the early hours. This bar is very popular and the dance floor can get packed.

Established in 1989, Micky's is an L.A. gay institution and regarded as one of the most popular gay venues n West Hollywood.

The two-storey bar & nightclub has a relatively small dance floor that always gets packed on weekends - definitely a place with some action and hot guys.

Micky's hosts regular parties with top DJ's, go-go dancers and drag shows by many of America's fiercest queens; including Showgirls on Monday. Regular drink specials are on offer.

It's a laidback bar - masc for masc, you could say. This is a real sports bar, so do spare a thought for the odd straight guy who might be taking a while to figure out what's going on. You can head to the cellar bar as the night progresses and get a little more sweaty, if the mood takes you.

Beaches WeHo is one of the newer additions to West Hollywood's gay scene. It's in a great location. There's a lot of seating inside and a smaller outdoor patio. The Pina Coladas taste pretty great! This is a worthy addition to the gaybourhood.

It takes the form of a hybrid restaurant and lounge. The lively decor celebrates the style of 80s Miami and the motto is to "be wild and free and look good doing it."

A rustic wood and brick décor punctuated by beer signs, cowboy paintings, and rotating exhibits of homoerotic art creates an atmosphere that’s welcoming and sexy.

Gay-popular bar in Pasadena area. The Boulevard has karaoke, a pool table, drag shows and a bar patron’s holy grail: a heavy pour for a cheap price.

There is a nice patio at the back. The excellent karaoke system comes complete with LCD projection and video monitors throughout. Come by and sing with some of the friendliest DJ's in Southern California.

Located a little off-the-beaten path and far outside WeHo’s party orbit, this longstanding Pasadena joint remains a favorite among locals, young and old.
