New York is one of the best cities on earth for shopping - obvs! We've gathered together some of the best gay-run and gay-popular stores in the Big Apple.

There are two Big Gay Ice Cream Shops in New York City. There’s one in East Village and one in West Village.

The Big Gay Ice Cream company began as a seasonal van in 2009. It then grew and grew, spreading throughout New York and as far as Philadelphia. The Big Gay Ice Cream Shop is now a New York favorite.

This bookstore was opened by a group of activists in the 90s, along with a number of thrift stores. All the books are donated and all profits go to Housing Works’ lifesaving services. The venue hosts many LGBT+ events.

There’s also a cafe serving coffee, snacks and booze. It’s a great place to read and chill.
