Bear Week Provincetown 2027

Bear Week Provincetown returns to P-town in July 2027, bringing thousands of bears, cubs, otters, wolves and their admirers together for one of the biggest bear events in the world.

The week is a full-on celebration of the bear community, with pool parties, beach gatherings, cruises, dancing and plenty of opportunities to get very social.

The 2027 dates are July 10–17. 

When Provincetown gets very hairy

For one week each summer, Provincetown becomes bear central. The town's LGBTQ+ bars, beaches, guesthouses and restaurants fill with guys from around the world, making Bear Week as much about meeting people as it is about the official parties.

Pool parties, beach days and big nights out

The schedule changes each year, but Bear Week staples include daytime pool parties, beach meet-ups, afternoon gatherings and late-night parties. The Boatslip and Crown & Anchor are among the main hubs, with events also taking place throughout town. 

The parties that make Bear Week

Expect a seriously busy week of themed parties and dance events, with previous and upcoming listings including Bearracuda, FURBALL, BRÜT, Underwear Night and Horse Meat Disco. There is also a popular Bear Week sunset cruise, giving everyone a chance to take the party out onto Cape Cod Bay. 

Provincetown's bear-friendly side

Bear Week works particularly well in Provincetown because the town already has such a strong LGBTQ+ community. Commercial Street is packed with gay bars, restaurants, shops and guesthouses, while the compact centre makes it easy to move between the beach, pool parties and nightlife.

Planning a Bear Week trip

Bear Week is one of Provincetown's busiest weeks of the year, and accommodation can sell out well in advance. If you're planning to attend, book early and expect the town to be particularly busy throughout the week.
